Before Charles Barkley's Nike Air Force Max CB releases in "Black/Metallic Gold,"  the Swoosh is dropping a more fitting Phoenix Suns-inspired scheme for the return of his first signature sneaker with the brand.

Drawing design elements from the brand's cross-strap trend of the '90s, such as the Air Raid and the Air Jordan 8, the model made its debut following Barkley's MVP campaign in '93. This upcoming iteration sports a black-based upper, mixed with the Suns' purple and orange color blocking represented throughout the branding. Completing the look is a speckled midsole with an exposed Zoom Air cushioning setup on the heel.

Retailing at $140, expect the Air Force Max CB "Suns" to drop next week on Friday, Oct. 12 on nike.com, and select Nike Basketball retailers.
