Lena Waithe Will Host Unscripted Show About Sneaker Culture

Emmy-winning actress Lena Waithe will be hosting a new shortform series on mobile streaming service Quibi about sneaker culture titled 'You Ain't Got These.'

Emmy-winning actress Lena Waithe has been tapped to host a brand new show based around sneaker culture titled You Ain't Got These. The program will be added to the lineup on Jeffrey Katzenberg's new mobile streaming platform Quibi. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the short form series will have Waithe exploring aspects of today's sneaker culture. More specifically, it will highlight various figures to speak on the race, politics, class, gender, creativity, commerce, addiction and self-expression involved within its community. Waithe will also act as the series' executive producer alongside Boardwalk Pictures. 

"We are thrilled to be collaborating with Lena. She is a singular creative voice of her generation, and her passion for this subject is infectious," executive producer of Boardwalk Pictures Andrew Fried told The Hollywood Reporter. 

The actress had previously made her interest in sneakers known as a guest on Complex's Sneaker Shoppingas well as appearing in a recent ad campaign for Nike centered around the Zoom Vaporfly 4%.

Katzenberg's Quibi service will play host to additional programming from notable filmmakers like Guillermo del Toro, Antoine Fuqua, and Sam Raimi as well. A premiere date for You Ain't Got These has yet to be announced.
