For those who thought Bape's Adidas Dame 4 collaboration was unexpected, the seminal Japanese streetwear brand has yet another left field project on the way.
This time around, Bape looks to one of Adidas' newest models, the 3ST.002 skateboard sneaker, and covers the upper in its signature camouflage pattern. In the photo provided by @py_rates, we can see that the sock-like shoe also includes iridescent Three Stripes branding.
Although this shoe has its roots in skating, it's said to be part of a Bape x Adidas snowboarding capsule which will also include mountain-ready apparel such as jackets and pants.
The Bape x Adidas 3ST.002 is expected to retail for $150 when it releases this October alongside the rest of the snowboarding-inspired collection.
UPDATE (10/15): New images of the Bape x Adidas 3ST.002 have surfaced on Twitter via @py_rates in a "Black" colorway. The most recent information puts the retail price of the pair at approximately $180 without any new word on when the sneaker drops. Check out below for the first images of the sneaker and keep it locked here at Sole Collector for more information and updates.
UPDATE (10/23): Adidas has officially announced its upcoming project with Bape. The snowboarding collection will release on Saturday, Nov. 3 at adidas.com and other select retailers. The 3ST.002 will retail for $150.
