The pair hit up sneaker retailer Lapstone & Hammer to talk about designer silhouettes, influencing the new generation, and accidentally buying fake sneakers. Although the group has an endorsement deal with Reebok (following a stint with Puma), the conversation turned to Kanye West's signature Yeezy sneaker in the designer corner of the store. Swae Lee recalled getting scammed for Yeezys in Miami during the height of the shoe's hype.
"I'm in Miami, I want some Yeezys. Dude pull up with the Yeezys. I pay him a rack. I'm excited about the Yeezys," said Lee. "Feezys," he corrected himself. "I get on Twitter and they know the stitching. The stitching is 473 stitches, it's supposed to be 479 stitches," he laughed. "Then I looked at my homie's real Yeezys and I could see for myself," he admitted.
