Introduced in the '70s as a hoops shoe, the Converse One Star has experienced a resurgence in recent years as a staple of skate and streetwear, and now it's getting reimagined as a runner with a bold early 2000s-inspired look.
Known as the Converse Run Star Y2K, this new model covers a mesh-based upper with shiny patent leather and suede overlays. Reflective hits and fused details add a modern, sporty edge, while a thick EVA foam sole gives the shoe some contemporary appeal.
Another distinct feature is the Run Star Y2K's rippled rubber outsole, which wraps up the heel of the shoe. White/navy and white/red colorways include icy soles, while a black/red options sticks with black tooling.
Rather than wait, fans can pick up the Run Star now in each colorway pictured here from converse.com for $90 apiece.
