Nike's decision to make Colin Kaepernick a face of its 30th anniversary "Just Do It" campaign has already been met with threats to boycott the brand, and even backlash from Donald Trump, but rather than backpedal on its stance, the Swoosh is doubling down.
In a new spot titled "Dream Crazy," Kaepernick narrates a clip of inspirational sports stories including Canadian soccer player Alphonso Davies' journey from refugee to young national team sensation, LeBron James' pursuit to be more than athlete, and Serena Williams' tennis takeover.
"So don't ask if your dreams are crazy, ask if they're crazy enough," Kaepernick says to conclude the spot.
The ad is scheduled to run during the first game of the NFL season tomorrow night when the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, take on the Atlanta Falcons.
