Picking up where the Thunder Spectra and Thunder Electric models left off, Puma is keeping the momentum going with new colorways of the Thunder Desert—the first of their kind for men.
After releasing in women's exclusive colorways, the Thunder Desert is ready to go for men in "Triple Black" and "Bright White/Grey Violet" make ups. As its name suggests, the model is quite literally inspired by the desert, taking notes from the environment's textures. In place of the metallic and neon colors seen on prior Thunder releases, the Thunder Desert opts for a much more subdued look combining suede, textured leather, and mesh.
While the materials and colors may have changed, the overall feel of the Thunder franchise is maintained with a blocky silhouette and inspiration from previous collabs from Puma x Alexander McQueen, that's very much on trend with the dad sneaker craze.
The drop date for these pairs is just around the corner—they'll be hitting puma.com and Puma stores on Thursday, Aug. 9 for 130 euros (around $150).
