Earlier this year, Nike brought the OG "Ultramarine" colorway of the Air Max 180 back to retailers. Since then, the '90s runner has been released in other OG iterations and through collaborations like the colorful trio by Comme des Garçons. Now, there are new images of another pair in a clean "Black/Black-Volt" color scheme.
This upcoming Air Max 180 takes on an all black upper that combines materials like nubuck and mesh with a ripstop nylon filling in the toe box and side panels. A grey hit is used for the 180 logo on the tongue, while volt is used to detail the Nike Air branding on the heel, Air bag, lace tips, and insole graphic. Similar to the materials on the popular "Altitude" Air Jordan 13, this upcoming colorway also sports a black stingray leather Swoosh.
Last month, an Air Max 90 was also previewed in a black and volt build. While nothing has been made official, this could indicate that both of these pairs will be a part of a larger pack of Air Maxes that the Swoosh is set to drop in the coming months.
UPDATE (08/16): Releasing next week alongside the "Night Ops" Air Max 90 is this matching colorway of the Air Max 180. Retailing for $150, this "Black/Black-Volt" colorway drops Thursday, Aug. 23.
