BMX pro Nigel Sylvester has been doing his thing with Nike for over a decade, helping to bolster the brand's 6.0 category and even releasing his own "S.O.M.P." Dunk High in 2014. This year, he's taking it up a notch with his first-ever Jordan Brand collaboration.
Announced by the biker himself earlier this week during the NYC screening of his latest "GO" clip, the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 High OG will reportedly release in September.
According to ZSneakerheadz, the sneaker will don a "Sail/Varsity Red/Reflect Silver/White" colorway with blocking reminiscent of the "Chicago" Air Jordan 1. Based on the mockup, the sneaker will combine sail and red on its upper with white accents and a reflective Swoosh.

UPDATE (08/13): Nigel Sylvester has taken to Instagram to give the first official look at his upcoming Air Jordan 1 collaboration. The pair appears different from previous mock-ups and features a cream-colored leather upper to simulate age, black nylon tongue, and red branding. As an added touch, a mini Swoosh is stitched on the lateral toe as well. Scuffs can also be seen on the heel, toe, and ankle area, although it's not clear if these are pre-distressed details or wear from Sylvester's personal use.
UPDATE (08/14): Official images have been unveiled of Nigel Sylvester's upcoming Air Jordan 1 collab. These new photos give a closer look at the pre-distressed markings across the upper, as well as a first look at the "JORDAN BIKING CO., EST. 2017" branding stamped in white on the inner ankle collar, and a reflective medial Swoosh.
UPDATE (08/17): Jordan Brand confirms a Saturday, Sept. 1 launch date for Nigel Sylvester's Air Jordan 1.
The brand also took the BMX pro through his old stomping grounds for a photo shoot, which includes new detailed shots of the sneakers.
