One of the biggest stories in sports this year is Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid to play for Italian soccer club Juventus. Having played his first game for his new team over the weekend, the Portuguese soccer legend also helps usher in the return of Complex's Sneaker Shopping following a short hiatus with one of its biggest episodes yet.
Ronaldo and host Joe La Puma hit up Honor 23 in Beijing, China to chop it up about sneakers, soccer, and more. Throughout the interview, Ronaldo discusses his upbringing in Madeira inspiring his various Nike collabs, saving game-worn boots he's worn during some of his best performances, his son wanting to dress like him, and working on new Nikes in Juventus' team colors.
"Of course, I'm signed now for Juve and I'm excited, happy, and proud," he said. "I've had the opportunity already to speak with Nike to do the new shoes with these colors. So, I'm looking forward to it."
