Vans Gets Artsy for Its Latest Collaboration

Vincent Van Gogh's original artwork may not fall into a price range that many afford, but thanks to Vans' latest collaboration, now there's a chance to own the next best thing—that same artwork reprinted on popular silhouettes from the California skate institution. 

Vans has teamed up with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam to release this special capsule honoring one of the most well known artists in history. Specifically, the capsule sees silhouettes like the Slip-On, Old Skool, and Authentic wrapped in Van Gogh's works including Skull, Almond Blossom, Sunflowers, and his iconic self-portrait. Each pair also comes with a special hangtag that describes the particular work featured. 

"We are delighted with the Vans x Van Gogh Museum collection, as it ties in with our mission to make the life and work of Vincent van Gogh accessible to as many people as possible in order to enrich and inspire them," said Managing Director of the Van Gogh Museum Adriaan Dönszelmann. 

Along with the various sneaker options, the capsule will also offer matching apparel that showcases the evolution of the Dutch artist.

The Van Gogh Museum x Vans collection will be available starting August 3 via select Vans stores, vans.com, the Van Gogh Museum's shop, and vangoghmuseum.com. A portion of the profits will be used by the museum to aid in its mission to preserve the legacy of the legendary painter.
