Nike has partnered with the OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland every year since 2003 to give some of its young patients an opportunity to design their very own pair of sneakers, with all proceeds from their sale going back to the hospital.

Thanks to @py_rates on Twitter, there is now an early look at what to expect this year, which includes the possible retro of 2009's Air Jordan 6. The silhouette is expected in a "Midnight Navy/Varsity Red/Metallic Gold/White" colorway, which aligns with the original pair.

The 2009 version featured a graphic-etched navy blue suede upper, red accents, and a gold liner. There is no official word yet if this will be a retro, but it wouldn't be unprecedented for a Doernbecher Air Jordan to be brought back. Back in 2013, the Air Jordan 3 that originally dropped in 2010 was brought back as a part of that year's offering to celebrate the program's 10th anniversary.

Additional silhouettes expected to drop this year include an Air Force 1 Low, Air Max 97, and Zoom Fly SP.

UPDATE (02/16): Initially rumored to release as part of last year's Nike Doernbecher collection, here are official images of the upcoming Doernbecher Air Jordan 6 Retro courtesy of @py_news on Instagram. According to the post, the kicks will retail for $190 and are rumored to drop later this year. Stay tuned to Sole Collector for updates.
