Since its retail debut to help celebrate Air Max Day 2017, the Air VaporMax has become one of Nike's most remixed silhouettes. With new iterations popping up what seems like monthly, yet another new version of the chunky-bubbled running shoe looks to be on the horizon.

Thanks to Instagram user @2muchsol3, there is a first look at the latest addition to the VaporMax's catalog. This new take sports the same overall shape as the original, but sets itself apart with new materials and details that give it a more technical look. The usual Flyknit upper is replaced with a seamless fabric covered by welded overlays on the heel, toe, and eyelets. Other notable differences include exposed Flywire on the side panels and a toggle lacing system in place of a traditional setup.

This particular colorway sports a grey and black upper with purple accents on the toe, tongue, laces, and lining. A hint of green comes through on the lace toggles. Swoosh branding is kept to a minimum this time around and can be seen in silver on the toe. The overall color palette evokes a slight resemblance to ACG models from the late '90s.

An exact release date and pricing have yet to be revealed for this upcoming iteration of the Nike Air VaporMax.
