The classic Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 (formerly known as the Air Max Uptempo 3) made its debut back in 1997, most notably worn by Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen and several stars at the collegiate level. Since then, the model has seen a handful of retros including a "University Blue" colorway for its 20th Anniversary last year. Next up for the silhouette is the return of the "College Navy" colorway.
Back in its OG make-up, the Air Max Uptempo 97 features a white-based leather and mesh upper, with a black and navy overlays on the mid-panel. Complementing the shoe is its unique teardrop accents in metallic blue atop a full-length Zoom Air cushioning unit.
The Air Max Uptempo 97 "College Navy" is set to hit retailers on Saturday, Aug. 4 for $160.
