With the success of Sean Wotherspoon's hybrid, sneakerheads have been more open to the idea of lifestyle-centric looks for the Nike Air Max 97. Typically known for it's metallic leather and mesh styles, the retro runner is known being delivered in more casual make-ups, often featuring more sophisticated material options. Recently, the premium variation of the Air Max 97 surfaced at retail in a new "Smokey Mauve" colorway that may see some action this summer.
The panels on this pair include black mesh, as well as navy and mauve suede. Sail works the midsole, which rides atop black Max Air cushioning.
Pick up the "Smokey Mauve" Air Max 97 now at select retailers such as Urban Industries. No word on an official U.S. launch at the moment.
