'Surf' and 'Turf' New Balances Celebrate the Popular Dish

For its latest "Made In England" release, New Balance takes inspiration from a popular summer dish. Two pairs of the New Balance 1500 will make up the "Coastal Cuisine" pack—one representing "Surf" and the other representing the "Turf" component. 

Each pair is given a pig skin suede and mesh upper with a color palette to signify each portion of the main course.  The "Surf" portion of the meal is represented with a lobster-colored upper and ocean blue hits on the heel and outsole to resemble the sea. The "Turf" option utilizes a brown and tan upper with a green hit on the heel to symbolize the steak and green grass.

Look for both of these premium pairs to hit select New Balance retailers like Germany's 43einhalb on Saturday, Aug. 4. Pricing has yet to be announced.
