Today, LeBron James furthered his reach outside of the realm of basketball with the grand opening of the I Promise School in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. The school will act as a learning facility for 240 at-risk Ohio children in the third and fourth grade with plans to expand to grades 1-8 by 2022. Along with an opportunity at a proper education, students will also be treated to a special display when they first walk in that honors the school's founder in a very fitting way.

The foyer of the I Promise School features two walls that bookend the main staircase. Across each wall is 114 of King James' game-worn sneakers that mostly span his past few seasons as a Cleveland Cavalier. A glimpse at the wall will show PE versions of the Nike LeBron 4, LeBron 13, LeBron 14, LeBron 15, Soldier 10, Soldier 11, Soldier 12, and more. The shoes are positioned alongside black-and-white artwork displaying crown patterns and etched with the school's mantra of 'WE ARE FAMILY.'

Take a look at the exclusive display in the photos below. According to the LeBron James Family Foundation, the matching shoe from each pair not on display will be made available for purchase through Upper Deck with proceeds going to the organization's future initiatives. Anyone who buys one of the shoes will have their name enshrined on the I Promise School sneaker wall as well.
