With two collaborations under his belt with Nike, fans continue to anticipate what the next release will be between Skepta and the Swoosh. For months, it has been rumored that he will be offering a take on the returning Air Max Deluxe silhouette, with one colorway already believed to be a future release. Now, another edition of the '90s runner has leaked that is rumored to be tied to the Grime rapper.
The latest pair in question is a primarily black iteration of the Air Max Deluxe with a static pattern across a large portion of the upper and a hit of red visible on the Air unit. A look at the medial side gives a peak at white text that reads "NEVER SLEEP ON TOUR," which could possibly allude to Skepta's tour schedule. Another hit on the upper is the time and date "12:05 PM JUNE 08 2014" written on the lateral toe. While this is not concrete evidence by any means, it is worth noting that one of Skepta's single "That's Not Me" originally released on that date.
This sneaker has not been confirmed as an upcoming Skepta collab, but given the resemblance to the rumored "Black/Deep Red/Black" color palette, it is certainly a possibility that this is either the pair in question, or even an additional version.
