With the 2018 MLS All-Star Game set to descend on Atlanta next month, Adidas is getting to work with an American-made sneaker designed with input from local figures.

Known as the AM4MLS, the model is the latest addition to Adidas' AM4 range and was created with help from rapper Rich the Kid, Atlanta United midfielder Darlington Nagbe, and artist Travis Love.

After sitting down for a design session earlier this month, the three personalities landed on a black and red colorway with gold flecked laces. A pattern inspired by Love's art covers the upper, while a heart symbol is used on the heel to convey the pulse of the city.

The All-Star Game kicks off August 1 from Atlanta with the MLS All-Stars taking on Juventus.
