Long before rapper sneaker endorsements were a dime a dozen, Wu-Tang Clan was representing their favorite footwear without a deal. Specifically, group members Ghostface Killah and Raekwon helped make the Clarks Wallabee relevant in the streets, often putting their own spin on the suede moccasins by dyeing them unique colors. Surprisingly, official collaborations between the crew and brand have been few and far between, but that's about to change.
In collaboration with the group's nostalgic Wu-Wear clothing line, Clarks Originals is set to drop two limited-edition versions of the Wallabee this weekend. There's a maple (or more appropriately, blue and cream) colorway and a triple-black iteration, both of which use all-suede uppers with crepe soles.
These two Wu-Wear x Clarks Originals Wallabees will release exclusively at Barneys' TheDropLA event tomorrow, June 2 and Sunday, June 3 in Los Angeles.
And that's not all. These are just a part of a wider collection from Wu-Wear and Clarks Originals, with more expected to be unveiled soon.
