In celebration of Stephen Curry capturing his third NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors, Under Armour is hosting a special pop-up event in Oakland this week.
The event is titled Steph VR"and give fans the ability to celebrate Curry's accomplishment through a virtual reality art piece and cinematic feature. Along with the immersive content, the space will also be selling exclusive sneakers from Curry's signature line.
Eight pairs will be available in total only at the Steph VR pop-up. Two pairs will be his latest model—the Curry 5. One colorway is black-and-white with copper detailing inspired by a tradition Curry and his teammates in college had of dropping a penny in a bucket everyday. The other pair is an all-white color scheme with pearlized details and a gum outsole.
The final six pairs being sold make up a colorful pack of Curry 4 Lows. Tonal blue, green, red, purple, orange, and yellow colorways inspired by his love for candy will only be available during the special event.
Any fans in the Oakland area looking to attend the Steph VR pop-up will get the chance on Tuesday, June 12 from 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PT. The final day will be Wednesday, June 13 with hours of operation running from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PT. The location is set for 1500 Broadway in Oakland. Pricing for the special pairs has yet to be announced.
