Tracy McGrady's playing days might be far behind him, but the Adidas signature line of the Hall of Famer has been kept in the spotlight as of late, thanks to Three Stripes athlete
Nick Young Swaggy P. Now, after over a decade since the line's last installment in 2007, Adidas will be adding to the T-Mac signature archive.
This new silhouette is apparently dubbed the T-Mac Millennium. Thanks to Chinese message board Hupu, there is now a first look at the upcoming silhouette. The upper seems to borrow design elements from T-Mac 1, 2, and 3 with a similar overall shape and details like the striped overlay on the toe area. New features include a heel pull tab and the comfort of a full-length Boost midsole to keep up with Adidas' more recent performance basketball offerings.
Three colorways have already popped up online of the new model. One uses a toned-down black leather upper, brown Three Stripes branding on the side panel, and a yellow tongue. Another sports a majority red upper with a blue toe box that evokes memories of McGrady's mismatched T-Mac 3s from the 2004 NBA All-Star Game. The final pair is a much more loud color scheme that sports an all-over flame pattern across the upper.
Word on a stateside release for the T-Mac Millennium is scarce, but stay tuned as more information becomes available regarding T-Mac's updated signature line.
