Last night, the Alexander Ovechkin-led Wahsington Capitals captured the first Stanley Cup in franchise history. To celebrate the occasion, Adidas has created limited edition pairs of its AM4NHL Speedfactory running shoes.
The pairs feature a red knit upper and navy blue Three Stripes branding on the lateral side panel to represent the Cap's team colors. To make sure there is no mistaking what this pair represents, the Capitals' eagle logo has been printed on the medial panel. The team's script logo and NHL crest have also been etched on the black heel piece on the lateral and medial side, respectively. For additional comfort and support, the runner sits on a white Boost midsole with a Speedfactory floating Torsion bar.
These pairs were custom made at Adidas' Speedfactory USA in just 14 days. Capitals fans can celebrate the team's Stanley Cup victory by pre-ordering the AM4NHL Speedfactory on adidas.com now for $200. According to Adidas, the official product launch is set for June 21.
