With the NBA Awards season upon us, Adidas is already putting together a collection of James Harden footwear celebrating the Beard's potential MVP honors. With three models bearing the MVP treatment, it looks like the 3-Stripes may have tipped off on the results ahead of the awards ceremony.
Leaked images provide a closer look at "MVP" versions of the Harden Vol. 2, Harden Vol. 2 LS and the Harden B/E 2. The celebratory colors include black-based uppers with hits of gold on the branding, tongue and liner. Details include an MVP-themed dubrae on the laces with, insoles listing Harden's most notable accomplishments from high school, college and the NBA.
As of now, Adidas hasn't announced release details for the "MVP" Harden collection, but stay tuned for updates. The 2018 NBA Awards air next Monday, June 25 on TNT.
UPDATE (06/18): According to Foot Locker’s official release calendar, the three sneaker pack from Adidas celebrating James Harden’s likely NBA MVP award is slated for a June 23 release. Interestingly though, this is two days before the 2018 NBA Awards take place—meaning that this release date may change, or it may be bit of a premature celebration before The Beard officially receives his trophy.
At this time, it is unclear if Adidas will be pushing back the drop until after Harden has actually been awarded the Most Valuable Player award officially.
