adidasBaseball x Topps Pack 01

Nothing evokes a stronger sense of nostalgia as an athlete then breaking open a new pair of sneakers or cleats at the beginning of the season. Second, only to the cleats, is the surprise of unsealing a pack of new baseball cards.

With both feelings tied into a single drop, Adidas is teaming with card company Topps to release a cleat and trainer pack that allows you to experience both at the same time.

The pack features two cleats: the Adizero Afterburner and the Adidas Icon along with a trainer of the same name.

The Afterburner cleat includes baseball card references like a holographic upper, statistics, game-worn jersey material, and even a place for the athlete to sign the cleat like they would a rookie card. These nostalgic references sit atop a Litestrike EVA midsole and a Sprintskin upper with a seamless design allowing for quick movement along the base paths. The Topps x Adidas Icon baseball cleat features the same baseball card hits but is paired with a full-length Energy Boost midsole.

The Topps x Adidas Icon Trainer is the third shoe in the pack and encompasses the same card aesthetic but with Adidas baseball technology that encourages hours in the cage instead of the batter's box. All three items include Adidas and Topps logo branding on a home plate inspired tongue.

This special edition pack drops today, online at adidas.com and at select Adidas retailers for $120 (Afterburner Cleats), $140 (Icon Cleats), and $110 (Icon Trainer).
