Due in large part to their artisanal manufacturing, many of New Balance's collaborations are considerably more limited than those from bigger brands, but this pair is extraordinarily rare.

In partnership with NYC-based fashion label and frequent collaborator Todd Snyder, New Balance gave its American-made 998 NB1 sneaker a "Sunset Pink" makeover inspired by one of the designer's staple colors. Taking further cues from the skyline of Palm Springs, the colorway combines a rose-colored suede mid-panel and heel with charcoal and black throughout the rest of the upper.

"In traditional menswear, a dose of unexpected color makes for a really dapper, unique look," Snyder said of the design. "A bright sneaker like the NB1 'Sunset Pink' can function as the modern equivalent of a pocket square or tie—an unexpected counterpoint that brings it all together."

There are just 300 pairs of the Todd Snyder x New Balance 998 "Sunset Pink" in existence and they're available now exclusively from the Todd Snyder Madison Square Park flagship store and toddsnyder.com for $218.
