As they frequently do, European retailer Size? is dropping an exclusive pair of Adidas Originals in the coming weeks. This time around, it is a pair of the retro Trimm Star model, dubbed the "VHS."
Releasing as the latest addition to the retailer's Archive series, this Trimm Star features a cream-colored leather upper, multicolored Three Stripes branding, a black hit on the heel, minimal gold foil branding on the side panel, and a gum outsole. Another noticeable feature on the early '70s training silhouette is the Ghilly loop lacing system in place of traditional eyelets.
The "VHS" nickname pays homage to the old school practice of recording football (soccer) games on blank VHS tapes. The use of cream, red, purple, orange, and black is a reference to the colors commonly featured on the box graphics of the tapes.
This "VHS" colorway will be the second of two Size? Adidas exclusives dropping in the coming weeks and will be available for purchase at Size? stores and size.co.uk on Friday, June 1 for £90 (around $122).
UPDATE 5/17: Originally pegged for May 4, the cream "VHS" Trimm Star will now release on Friday, June 1 for £90 (about $122). Before that, a second black-based pair (pictured below) will launch on May 25 at Size? stores and size.co.uk.
