Selena Gomez received her first Puma sneaker collab last month in the form of the Phenom Lux, but she won't be tied exclusively to that model going forward.
Gomez is also the face of Puma's new women's training sneaker, the Defy. Set to launch tomorrow, the Defy is a performance-purposed trainer which also nods to current trends with its chunky platform sole and knitted upper. Its oversized Formstripe logo is unique yet instantly recognizable, while TPU pieces are placed above the midsole for added support.
"To defy is to be brave. It’s about pushing the envelope and not obeying any ‘expectations’ placed on you by society," Gomez said in a press release. "Puma has captured this feeling perfectly with their new Defy training shoe. I remind myself daily the importance of defying the outside noise and being true to myself."
Set to launch tomorrow, May 31 in white/black (pictured), black, white/white, and aquifer colorways, the Puma Defy retails for $90 and can be found at puma.com and select retailers.
