Just days after Drake came for Pusha T on "Duppy Freestyle," Pusha has fired back by airing the "Nice for What" rapper's dirty laundry and potentially ruining the rollout of his rumored Adidas deal in the process.
On "The Story of Adidon," Pusha raps about Drake's alleged son, Adonis, telling Drake his offspring "deserves more than an Adidas press run." To the untrained ear, this was hardly the most scathing bar of the song, but it could have some major implications.
Following the track's release, talk started to swirl on social media regarding the word "Adidon," presumed by many to be the name of Drake's potential upcoming line with Adidas. In an interview this morning with the Breakfast Club, Pusha seems to confirm this theory.
"The Adidas situation is this. Allegedly, [Drake's] new line on Adidas is called Adidon, which is named after Adonis, his son," Pusha said. "But we couldn't know about the child until you started selling sweatsuits and sneakers?"
While Pusha doesn't expound much beyond this, it's believable that he would have access to this sort of inside information thanks to his and Kanye West's ties to the Three Stripes.
