It's been a few months since the last installment of Kendrick Lamar's Nike Cortez sneakers, but it looks like there could be a new addition very soon.
Kendrick's manager and president of the rapper's TDE label, Dave East, took to Instagram to show off a never-before-seen Cortez Kenny style. This black-based makeup carries over the theme from Kendrick's most recent Cortez release, but features a new phrase in place of the "don't trip" text on the shoe's red tongue taping. A white Swoosh, midsole, and heel break up the look, while red appears again on the heel tab.
Along with the sneakers, East's post includes a co-branded hoodie which will likely be released at the upcoming TDE Championship Tour pop-up shops.
Release details have not been officially confirmed, but East's Instagram post suggests it will go down Friday, May 4. This could indicate a launch at Livestock when the TDE Championship Tour kicks off in Vancouver later this week. Check back soon for the latest updates.
