White mesh and leather cover the upper—a color chosen by Ronaldo to "embody his energy and spirit during his training," according to Nike. Ice blue detailing is used on the heel and TPU cage as a nod to the Portuguese star's favorite color. Other details include a white Swoosh and a new logo inspired by an ancient Portuguese navigational tool that can be seen on the support cage, as well as leather pull tabs on the tongue and heel embossed with Ronaldo's "CR7" logo. His signature is also written in gold on each insole.
From a technical standpoint, this training silhouette combines Nike's flexible Free midsole with the durability of the Metcon line.
The Nike Free CR7 x Metcon releases on Saturday, May 26 at nike.com and other select retailers.
