These Were the Best-Selling Sneakers of Q1 2018

Here's a full ranking of Q1 2018's best-selling sneakers. Nike dominated the list with its brands making up all ten spots.

After some stiff competition from Adidas in 2017, Nike is taking back the athletic sneaker crown for Q1 2018.

Sports industry analyst Matt Powell of the NPD Group just released a list of the top-selling models from February through April. Rankings were determined by dollar sales, and the findings are somewhat surprising.

Three Stripes contenders from 2017 such as the Superstar—a sneaker which is often a fixture of these best-seller lists—and Tubular Shadow are nowhere to be found. Instead, all ten spots are occupied by Nike-owned labels including Jordan Brand and Converse.

Despite this shift, it's business as usual at the top spot, where the budget-friendly Nike Tanjun remains firmly in first place. Other notable entries include the typically-limited Air Jordan 1 High OG and the debut of the Air Max 270, the latter of which didn't formally release until March.

While some might be expecting to see more hyped releases such as shoes from Virgil Abloh's Off-White x Nike "The Ten" collection or Kanye West's Adidas Yeezys, the limited-edition nature of these sneakers prevents them from racking up numbers comparable to more widely available general releases.

It's also worth noting that this list does not highlight specific colorways but instead is a representation of each model's total sales.
