After a successful launch of the Air Max 97 Ultra last Sept., UK grime god Skepta will soon bring his flavor to a new Nike hybrid runner.

According to Twitter's py_rates, the next collaboration will be the Air Max 97/BW, a fused runner that pairs the upper of the Air Max Classic BW together with the tooling of the Air Max 97. The model hasn't officially been unveiled, but py_rates shared a rendering in the classic "Persian Violet" colorway earlier this week. Based on the color description, Skepta's summertime make-up appears to be white-based, with blue accents.

Last Feb., Skepta unveiled his own "Blacklisted" Air Max Classic BW, so this is a fitting project to attach his name to on multiple levels. Expect more details to be announced ahead of the summer release.

UPDATE (04/25): Mita Sneakers shares a first look at the Skepta x Nike Air Max 97/BW. As expected, the colorway features a white-based upper with mismatched red and blue Swoosh accents.

UPDATE (04/26): After yesterday's first glimpse, Skepta has shared a closer look at the upcoming collaboration. The new images give a better look at the hybrid's mismatched Swoosh logos and Air units. Also of note is an SK Air-branded padlock accessory, although it's not clear if that will make it to retail or end up a promo item. In addition to the shoes, it looks like the rapper has readied a matching apparel collection from his Mains line.

This pair is now expected to release on Friday, May 18.
