Amid the release day madness surrounding the launch of the Off-White x Nike "The Ten" collection last week, there was one model conspicuously missing. Virgil Abloh's take on the Converse Chuck 70 still has not released, and won't be in stores until next year.
A Nike spokesperson has confirmed with Sole Collector that this Converse Chuck 70 will release in 2018.
In addition to this pair, Abloh also has more collaborations with Nike coming. The brand confirmed that more colorways are releasing, and leaked images have already given a preview of what they may look like.
The Off-White x Nike "The Ten" collection was a frustrating one for most shoppers who attempted to get the shoes directly from Nike. First, the brand cancelled its initial plans around releasing the collection, and its follow-up was plagued with error messages and long wait times.
UPDATE (04/30): As previously rumored, it looks like the Off-White x Converse Chuck 70 might be on its way this May. A page now lives on converse.com previewing the final pair from Virgil Abloh's original "The Ten" pack, with a link to sign up for updates on the release.
Originally believed to drop alongside the rest of the pack in November 2017, the Chuck 70 is the only pair that has yet to hit retailers. While a release date has still not been made official, according to Nike, the pair will hit converse.com and Off-White before being released at other select retailers. According to @py_rates, they will receive a worldwide release on May 12, 2018.
UPDATE (04/06): After much delay and speculation, the Off-White x Converse Chuck 70 from "The Ten" now has a rumored release date. According to py_rates, the Virgil Abloh collaboration will arrive on May 10, 2018.
