Nike is finally answering the wishes of many sneakerheads by bringing back Sheryl Swoopes' signature line.
Confirmed for a fall/winter '18 release is the Air Swoopes 2, which returns in two colorways reminiscent of the originals. The model, which uses a unique lacing system akin to the Air Money, features Zoom Air cushioning and an adjustable toggle lace lock.
Notable for being the first female athlete to receive a signature sneaker, Swoopes had a total of six models throughout her tenure with the brand.
While there are still a number of other Swoopes sneakers waiting to be retroed, this is finally a start for fans who've been clamoring for a reissue—including Sheryl herself. Unfortunately, guys who have been holding onto hope for this pair may have to wait a bit longer, as only women's sizes are confirmed at this point.
