With Penny Hardaway taking over as the new head coach for Memphis Basketball, the timing couldn't be better for Nike Sportswear to be bringing back more of his signature sneakers.
This fall, the Air Max Penny 1 will return in several new colorway, including a royal and yellow pair likely tied to his original draft day team, the Golden State Warriors. Black/Black-White-University Red starts things off in October, followed by "Team Red" in November and the royal colorway in December. Retail will be $160 for each pair.
The last wave of Penny 1 colorways released in 2014. Most recently, the Air Penny 4 had a run from 2016 to 2017.
