After making his long-awaited return to Twitter Friday and taking a now-deleted shot at Nike's upcoming M2K Tekno sneaker, Kanye West is back at it tonight, tweeting about everything from Die Antwoord rapper Ninja to Lamar Odom, and sharing a previously unseen look at the early stages of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350's design.

The mockup features a similar overall look to what would eventually become the retail Yeezy Boost 350, but includes several differences such as a higher cut with what appears to be a suede upper instead of Primeknit, a different midsole and heel tab, and new placement of the sneaker's semicircle overlay. Also of note is a revamped lacing system which wraps across the foot instead of the final version's more traditional setup.

Kanye calls the render an "early 350 Photoshop" and mentions he showed it to late fashion professor Louise Wilson. While the Yeezy Boost 350 and its V2 follow-up have been well received, it's interesting to see what could've been with this rare look at the rapper's design process.
