The country's 64 best college programs have clashed to decide who's the best of the best, but the star of this year's NCAA tournament has been 98-year-old Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt.

Inspiring Loyola-Chicago's improbable run to the Final Four, Sister Jean stands at less than 5-feet tall, but brightens up any building with her larger-than-life personality. Prior to each game, she leads the Ramblers in prayer as the team's chaplain. And even as a vessel of faith, she never imagined that she'd be making the trip to San Antonio this year—she had Loyola only making the Sweet 16 when she filled out her brackets.

Sister Jean isn't new to this, though. A former player herself, she's been a Ramblers super-fan for years. In fact, she has her own custom Nike Free sneakers in the team's official colors with her name embroidered on the heels.

Though some have reported these shoes as new, Sister Jean has owned them for quite some time—these photos were taken in 2013. Seems like she's due for a fresh pair for the Final Four.
