New York Police are searching for a suspect related to a pair of alleged sneaker robberies near the Atlantic-Barclays subway station in recent weeks. According to Bklyner, Darius Omotunde and a yet-to-be-identified suspect are responsible for two sneaker robberies that occurred earlier this month.

The first incident occurred on March 14, when a 36-year old woman met up with the two suspects to sell a pair of Yeezys at the corner of Atlantic and Flatbush. According to police, the suspects attempted to pay for the sneakers using $400 in counterfeit money. The woman refused to complete the transaction, but then the two allegedly grabbed the sneakers and ran away into the Barclays subway station.

On March 18, the pair struck again. This time, they had arranged to purchase a pair of Adidas sneakers from a woman at the same location. Omotunde tried on the sneakers, then handed them back to the woman before snatching them again and running away.

The exact pairs that were robbed have not been identified by police. Authorities are still attempting to identify the second suspect involved with both robberies.
