Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. are two of the most important rappers in history, but their untimely deaths caused them to miss out on the proliferation of lucrative sneaker endorsement deals that have since become common in the genre. Much like their posthumous music output, the hip-hop icons may also live on through a pack of Nike SB sneakers.

Rumored to arrive in May, this "East vs. West" Nike SB collection uses a Dunk Low for Biggie, while Tupac gets his own Air Force 2. Each style's colors and materials are taken from denim shirts worn by the rappers—blue for B.I.G., black for 'Pac—and feature custom graphics on their insoles.

While it is unclear at this time if this footwear involves any official partnerships, Diddy mentioned that Jordan Brand had approached him about a possible Biggie collaboration during a 2017 episode of Complex's Sneaker Shopping.

For now, an early look at this pack can be previewed below, and more details should be surfacing soon. A tentative release date is set for May 12.
