With upcoming styles like Atmos' "Animal Pack" and the logo-heavy "Just Do It" collection, there are plenty of reasons for Air Max 1 fans to be excited, but sometimes it's hard to beat the model's traditional color blocking.
Purists will be glad to learn that the 1987 runner is getting several new color combinations that look like they could've released during the Air Max 1's heyday. Five clean styles are on the horizon including a brown-accented pair that recalls "Curry" memories, a black and tan take, an Air Max 95-like grey and volt make up, and colorways reminiscent of Nike's popular "Michigan" and "South Beach" colorways.
Along with their familiar color blocking, another thing these styles share in common is their use of materials. Each look in this collection combines a mesh base with a suede mudguard, while leather overlay panels and Swooshes add some texture contrast.
Expect each of the Air Max 1s pictured here to drop this spring for $110 each from nike.com and Nike Sportswear retailers.
