Adidas VP and Creative Director Marc Dolce recently sat down with Sole Collector at the brand's Brooklyn Creator Farm to discuss how the space came to be, as well as why he left Nike for the Three Stripes four years ago.

"For me, it was about not creating more products, but it was about creating and developing talent," says Dolce. "Coming to Adidas allowed me to develop a culture, and to grow and cultivate talent."

The Adidas Brooklyn Creator Farm officially launched at its current location back in March 2017. It is stashed away in a warehouse in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and acts as a creative suite for designers to bring their visions to life with all of Adidas' latest materials and technologies at their disposal.

"I see the Brooklyn Creator Farm as an open source creation center, and really is very symbolic of what we are here to do today," says Dolce. "The Brooklyn Creator Farm's MakerLab is where designers come together. It's where we unite everybody, it's about collaboration, it's about team environment, and where people get to work together and exchange ideas."
