Jordan Brand's history with Converse traces back to Michael Jordan's college days at North Carolina, where he became a national star and champion while wearing chevron-branded sneakers like the Pro Leather and Fastbreak. Nike's acquisition of Converse in 2003 made it possible for Jordan Brand to continue telling the story of Jordan's early sneaker days, and the entities are reportedly set to embark on their most ambitious collaborative project to date.

According to sneaker leak account Pinoe77, Converse x Air Jordan 1 and Converse x Air Jordan 11 sneakers are in development. As of now, there are no images of the product and a release date hasn't been announced.

There's already plenty of speculation over what the shoes from the pack will look like. Could we see these iconic sneakers reimagined with Chuck Taylor-style canvas uppers? Perhaps the branding elements will be switched around. One has to imagine that UNC will factor into the design on some level. This all remains to be seen.

Additionally, it's been rumored that Nike and Converse will release Chuck Taylor All Stars with Swoosh branding at some point this year, though that information hasn't been confirmed. Earlier this month, Converse paid tribute to Jordan with a friends and family make-up of the Pro Leather.
