Cash Money CEO Birdman hit up Flight Club Los Angeles with host Joe La Puma for the newest episode of Complex’s Sneaker Shopping and as expected, the hip-hop mogul dropped plenty of gems along the way.

To kicks things off, Birdman touches on his label's influence on street style in the late 1990s and early 2000s, specifically Cash Money's tendency to pair Girbaud jeans with Reebok Classics. "[Reebok] was the first brand to embrace us. We really represented that culture. At that time, Reebok was maybe on a down side of the business, and we really represented it, it didn't matter to us," says Birdman.

But when it comes to footwear relationships, there weren't many as profitable to Birdman as his collaboration with Lugz, which began in 2004. According to Birdman, he sold one million pairs of Lugz quarterly at the height of the deal, and the brand reciprocated by buying him homes. "They bought me houses in my time. My house in New Orleans, they paid for that, $3 million," he says.

Elsewhere, Birdman gives his thoughts on Drake's collaboration with Jordan Brand, gives Kyrie Irving props for leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers, and much more.
