Air Jordan 9 CDP 2008 Sample

Celebrating the launch of the much anticipated Air Jordan 23, Jordan Brand launched a series of two-shoe Countdown Packs (also known as Collezione) in 2008. Each of the first 22 models were re-released, both in original and new colorways. Many ideas were bounced around for which colorways to include in the packs, leaving a few samples off of the production line. One of those samples is the unreleased Air Jordan 9 pictured here.

This retro is essentially a remix of the "OG" colorway, which was included in the 9/14 CDP. Black suede featuring a white contrast stitch serves as the base, while white leather has been moved to the overlay. The black midsole and red branding hits were carried over.

Though Jordan Brand chose to go in a different direction, these unreleased pairs have a way of eventually making it to retail. For now, this photo set will have to suffice.
