With an upcoming "Easter" colorway, a new women's-exclusive "Bleached Coral" look, and a handful of just-released gridiron-ready cleats, the Air Jordan 11 Low has been getting quite a bit of attention as of late, and there's still more to come.

A mysterious new pair surfaced on social media today which blends a black suede upper with a textured, elephant print-like shiny purple overlay. The purple shade also appears on the outsole and tongue label, but it's the sneaker's shoelace dubrae that's raising eyebrows.

Aside from the fact that the Air Jordan 11 does not traditionally include a dubrae—which could indicate a premium distinction for this low-top pair—its "2011" etching leaves room for interpretation. Adding to the uncertainty is the sneaker's production tag, which implies that this is in fact a new release slated for 2018.
