Marc Dolce, VP and Creative Director at Adidas' Brooklyn Creator Farm, continues to hint at what's coming down the line from the brand's basketball category.

Following an initial look last month, Dolce offers a second FutureCraft 4D Laceless Basketball sample, this pair primarily styled in black knit. The standout feature is the green 4D-printed sole, produced in collaboration with Silicon Valley tech company Carbon. Light and oxygen are used through a process called digital light synthesis to create the tooling.

As of now, there's no launch date for the final version of FutureCraft 4D Basketball, but it's a work in progress. A lot of readers have expressed concern over the lack of visible support throughout the upper, but there's a few things to consider. First, this is an early sample worked on at Adidas' 747 Warehouse St. event during All-Star Weekend. Two, when FutureCraft 4D Basketball does debut, it's possible that we'll see both performance and lifestyle versions.
