After a first look at ComplexCon, Vans' collaboration with groundbreaking rap group A Tribe Called Quest now has a confirmed release date.
Set to arrive next month, the large collection is made up of six different models including staples like the Authentic, Era, Old Skool, Sk8-Hi, and Slip-On, as well as the new UltraRange.
Rather than simply slap the group's signature black, green, and red color scheme on each sneaker, Vans applied themes from A Tribe Called Quest albums and songs including 2017's We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service on the Slip-On, The Anthology on the Old Skool, and an all-over print of album artwork on the Era. Other inspirations include a tribute to the late Phife Dawg on the collection's Authentic, Sk8-His inspired by the single "Bonita Applebum," and a simple black and red combination on the UltraRange.
The full A Tribe Called Quest x Vans collab drops April 6 in adult, kids, and toddler sizes for prices ranging from $37 to $85. Ahead of the global launch, House of Vans Brooklyn will hold a two-day pop-up event for the collection on March 30 and 31.
