Pharrell Williams first teased his new Boost You Wear model back in January, and tagged the post with Adidas 747 Warehouse St. event that’s tied to All-Star Weekend. That time is finally upon us, and further details have now emerged along with an up-close look at the new silhouette.
To launch Crazy BYW PW, Williams will be releasing an exclusive friends and family edition of the shoe inspired by the colors seen in Los Angeles' fruit stands. It features a yellow and red knitted upper with structure coming by way of a green TPU midfoot shank. Similar to his popular NMD Hu series, bold lettering covers the tops of each side—both reading “Ambition.”
The shoe will be available exclusively to a select group of people to be chosen by Williams and will not be for purchase. That group will be selected from attendees of Adidas' 747 Warehouse St event.
“The best things in life take time, and are rarely perfect first time round," Williams said of the project. "There is something beautiful about that process, from the intangible to the tangible. Today I begin my basketball journey with Adidas. The first step. The beta phase.”
