On the latest episode of Complex's Sneaker Shopping, host Joe La Puma and actor Michael B. Jordan hit up Stadium Goods in New York City to talk sneakers.

The star of films like Creed and Black Panther speaks on showing his Newark, New Jersey roots by wearing Timberland boots in L.A., being one of the first non-athletes to unbox the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0, his love for "Bred" Air Jordan 1s, growing up with the same name as one of the best basketball players of all time, and more.

"Honestly, it’s just trying to have your own identity growing up," says Jordan. " I always got teased here and there, but it just made me want to be great and competitive at whatever I did. You definitely got to take that thing positively and use it as some constructive motivation."
